Spencer Joseph is an Integrative Therapist working in Central London. He has a particular interest in the potential for therapy to open insights and release unhelpful patterns that have been stored (sometimes very deeply) within the mind and body.
Spencer has studied many different systems of health and well being including Integrative Counselling, Coaching, Hypnotherapy, Tibetan & Chinese medicine, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Shiatsu, Meditation, Martial Arts and Yoga. He holds many recognised, professional therapy qualifications as well as a BA (Hons) degree in philosophy from King’s College (University of London) and is a member of the following organisations, all of which require professional qualifications and insurance:
- The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)
- The European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC UK)
- The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
- The Complementary Therapists Association (CThA)
- The Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR)
- The Zen Shiatsu Society (ZSS)
Spencer has gained extensive experience working at several well known clinics in Central London and this has led to the development of his own approach to integrated therapy, combining ancient traditions of mind-body health and spirituality with modern developments in psychology and neuroscience. He also works as a specialist mental health mentor at University of The Arts London (UAL).
In addition, Spencer is a published songwriter / producer who has worked with some of The UK’s leading soul singers and has played live at music venues including The Jazz Cafe and Dingwalls. He has also worked as a music journalist for BBC Radio and as a management coach at Point Blank Music School.
Spencer lives in London with his wife and 2 children, and continues to develop his knowledge of the mind, body and spirit.
